In 2020, the vocal ensemble Ventula joined the organization of Sing (in) Split and co-organized the first Split vocal ensemble review, named Spli’ski klaparel. The evening grew out of the Festival’s Evening of Traditional Song and showed that Split, too, both wants and is able to have its own vocal ensemble showcase.

Ventula is also this year’s winner of the Festival of Dalmatian Klapa in Omiš, and the members of the ensemble selflessly, enthusiastically, and on a volunteer basis take part in the extensive organization of the klapa evening, with the wish to bring vocal ensembles together not only in neighboring towns but also in the city under Marjan.

This year’s Klaparel will, now traditionally, open the Festival and will take place on the last Saturday of this month — September 27 at 8 p.m. in the Croatian Home Split.

There will be no shortage of performers, as no fewer than eight ensembles will take the stage: alongside Ventula, we will welcome Luše, Orca, Bošket, Krunik, Morbin, Mriža, and Kampaneli.
